A fleck of gold
Not worth a worry
Lost in the sandy stream
A fleck in the palm of my
Hand gleaming back
The light of untold dreams
A fleck of gold
My father craved
The burden of desire I carried
A fleck of gold
Lost in my back pocket
Those shiny distractions, I buried.
